Shooting to darkness…

Posted: April 5, 2012 by Judy Licht Photography in Uncategorized

Experimenting with different lighting techniques, I find myself debating whether or not I should lighten up when I shoot.  What is my model’s face telling me?  Or what type of sculpting do I want to experiment with.  Right now, the shadows interest me, but that’s not to say that my subject in this picture wouldn’t look as good in a lighter setting.  Starting out my career as a reporter, the story was never finished.  You could always focus on a different angle the next day.  Hope all my models keep coming back to get reshot.  Photography is a relationship.  The more you work with a person, the more you learn about expressing their beauty.  Hope to see you in my studio again soon, Linda….
