I got an email out of the blue to take photos of a senior graduating from high school.  We traded a few messages about clothes and makeup, but I had never seen Genevieve before. Starting from scratch with a client is challenging and fun.  It is always surprising how surprisingly different people can look from image to image. Genevieve was a great subject.  She loosened up, laughed at my jokes, told me about her summer directing job, and posed for me outdoors after we finished our studio session.  Love the versatility…

Photographed golfers playing for Wilson High School at the University of Maryland.  It was a beautiful day — last Friday — and it was nice to see young and older players hitting the links and laughing together.

In this weather, just walking outside my door with my camera opens up opportunities to have some fun!  This weekend, we had our annual block party.  Hot dogs, hamburgers, laughs!  We have lived in our house for 23 years, and a lot has changed, while some things stay the same…several homes have been passed down from their moms to the next generation, so we hear stories that go back to the 1940s and 50s.  In the past five years, new young families have moved in…and at twilight when our windows are open we listen for the wheels of the scooters and the shouts of the kids as they get in one more race before they go home to bed.
