Loved photographing this family. Everyone was fun, happy, and playful. Late summer, early fall is a great time to schedule a family shoot.

Like many photographers, I like being on the backside of the camera. A selfie, forget it, unless it gives me a chance to celebrate loving times. Through a photography group, I met two great women, Jane Love and Sandrine Boyer-Engel — check out their work. We have been posing for each other, and here’s a shot of me…
As photographic subjects, the real estate agents who sat for me a few weeks ago, were prompt, put-together, and personable. Most of all, they were fun! Portrait sessions start with a certain amount of tension, which transcends to a moment of relaxation or character realization. I spent from 20 minutes to an hour at a time with each person. Sometimes one of the first images I photographed is the one I chose for this collage — sometimes it was the last. What developed isn’t always what I saw consciously, which makes the experience even richer.
